The Honeymoon

After escaping from the church and a brief stop at the local car wash, we headed off on a wonderfully relaxing, yet short honeymoon. We stopped in Shreveport, Louisiana for the first night, then on to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a couple of days. We stayed at the Bartee Meadow Bed & Breakfast. If anyone is looking for a wonderfully quiet place to get away from it all, then this is it!! We highly recommend Bartee Meadow. Owners and innkeeper, Vista and Hu White really know how to roll out the red carpet and make you feel right at home with ultimate relaxation. We will definitely return someday, you should check them out too!! We wish the honeymoon could have been longer but we had to get home so I could get on a quartet bus and leave my new bride at home!! :-( Overall we had a great time at Bartee Meadow and Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The windshield says it all!! After navigating through the confetti, paper plates, vaseline on the steering wheel, gear shift, door handles, and the baby powder in the air vents we were finally able to get on to the honeymoon!!

Bartee Meadow Bed & Breakfast Hot Springs, Arkansas

A nice welcome

A dozen roses were waiting for us

This has to be the most comfortable bed west of the Mississippi!! But it comes in second to the hot tub on the deck!!

Bartee Meadow made a picnic lunch for us one day. We found this nice little park just below the dam on Lake Hamilton

My beautiful bride
