Dixie Echoes Hire Tenor Singer
PENSACOLA, FL (Press Release) The Dixie Echoes Quartet of Pensacola, Florida, are pleased to announce the addition of Wesley Smith as the groups tenor vocalist.
"Wesley has been filling in with the group since the first of 2008, and we are glad to now have him as a full-time member of the quartet," states Stewart Varnado. "Southern Gospel fans might remember Wesley from his tenure with the Palmetto State Quartet. His voice fits our style perfectly! Singing around the two mics with just the piano, and no soundtracks is the type of singing that we love, and I invite everyone to hear Wesley with us at a concert soon."
Wesley shares, "For the past couple of months, I've been traveling with the Dixie Echoes. They sing the songs that I first heard my dad sing many years ago. Songs like "Little is Much", "I Won't Have To Worry Anymore", "How Big Is God", and "If We Never Meet Again", thrill me! From the first night on stage with the group, things just felt natural. It is with great pleasure that I accept the tenor position with the legendary Dixie Echoes."
The Dixie Echoes are booked by Rivergate Talent Agency. For more information, call 615-597-2553 or visit http://www.dixieechoes.com/.
